Diffuse Hair Loss (Androgenic Alopecia)

Another form of hair loss that affects women is termed 'diffuse hair loss' which involves an increased rate of hair fall and subsequent thinning from all over the scalp.

In these cases a detailed clinical history must be taken. In particuar, the diet should be checked for adequate intake of nutrients and clinical investigations should be made for thyroid, haemoglobin and hormonal problems.

Stress may also be a contributing factor in diffuse hair thinning.

Hair weaves and braiding of hair can also contribute to diffuse hair loss.

A very high proportion of our female clients suffer from diffuse hair loss. Our non-surgical hair attachments have given them their hair back.

This type of hair loss is also known as Female Pattern Hair Loss.
